Our resident quiet-guy-in-the-back, Steve, is at it again. This time he flexed realllllllly hard with this electric painting. The engraved owl, perched on a pine tree, monitors the landscape with piercing eyes. This fiery saya is one-of-a-kind. The OEM saya is included with the knife as well, so that you can display the painted saya and use the plain one for storage. As for the knife, it is a poster child of hand-forged Sakai double bevel knives. The sides of this knife have a misty white polish and the core steel can be seen in a slightly more polished finish near the edge. The knife is also on the thinner side of what we normally see with hand forged clad knives. The profile and grind are very nice and the polish is really fascinating.
